The Money sent to Romania can be collected at Smith & Smith's offices (70 branches), Branches of Banca Comerciala Romana and Idea Bank.

The total amount of money transfers sent in favor of one Recipient can not exceed the equivalent of 15'000 EUR (depending on the currency of transfer) per day / in favor of one Recipient.

The total amount of Money Transfers sent in favor of one Recipient is unlimited, but for amounts that exceed the equivalent of 15'000 EUR in favor of one Recipient in 24 hours, documents confirming the source of funds are required. 

For payment of remittances in USD / EUR in cash in your own divisions Smith and Smith, Banca Comerciala Romana and Idea Bank branches, you must indicate the following information:

• Sender's name and surname
• Series and number of the Sender ID
• Country of money transfer
• Reference number of transaction
• Recipient's name and surname
• Amount and currency of transfer
• Recipient's phone number

In the event that the name of the Recipient does not match the name in the identification document presented to the Recipient, the banks and its agents have the right to refuse the transfer.

When receiving money transfers in the offices of Banca Comerciala Romana and IDEA BANK (Ex- (Idea Bank)) it is necessary to refer to Smith and Smith as the Transfer Operator.

Most of the offices work with an increased schedule. The Smith & Smith branches offer their services 7 days a week from 08: 30-22: 00, which can be opened in the Shopping Centers.

Money transfers sent to Banca Comerciala Romana offices on Saturday or Sunday are available for payment on Monday.

The minimum transfer for cash pick up is 300 EUR.

POSTA ROMANA (ROMANIAN POST)

The POSTA ROMANA (ROMANIAN POST) units will only effect the payment of remittances.

The maximum amount of a single money transfer sent to POSTA ROMANA (ROMANIAN POST) is 550 EUR.

Money transfers sent to 16:00 (Central European Time) - are available in offices POSTA ROMANA (ROMANIAN POST) after 3 hours from the moment of their transmission POSTA ROMANA (ROMANIAN POST).

Money Transfers sent after 16:00 (Central European Time) - are available in the offices of POSTA ROMANA (ROMANIAN POST) on the next working day from the date of their transfer to POSTA ROMANA (ROMANIAN POST).

Money Transfers sent after 16:00 (Central European Time) - on Friday or weekends are available for payment at the offices POSTA ROMANA (ROMANIAN POST) on Monday at 11.00 (Central European Time).

The recipient should apply to any branch of POSTA ROMANA to receive the transfer and provide an identity document, reference number of the remittance, referring to EUROGIRO CASH International as agent intermediary. 

All cashless Euro Transfers are executed under SEPA payment scheme, that includes 28 European Union (EU) countries and the additional 3 European Economic Area (EEA) countries.SEPA Payments allow the transfer from one EUR bank account to another. According to SEPA Rules all the payments made before cutoff point on a working day will be credited to the recipients account within one working day. Our Cutoff Point for EUR is 14.00. SEPA guarantees that euro payments are received within a guaranteed time, and banks are not allowed to make any deductions from the amount transferred.
